Chrome Extensions for Tab Splitting

There are times that I need to compare information in more than one tab. Clicking back and forth between tabs in Chrome is tiresome and can lead to creating mistakes in data transfer. Whether you are comparing data, grading a project with a rubric, or looking at two drafts of a document, use one of these Chrome extensions to split your tabs to make this task easier.

1. Tab Scissors/Tab Glue - You will need both of these extensions to make them work. Selecting Tab Scissors splits the tabs, selecting Tab Glue puts them back together. This is the simplest of the three extensions discussed here.

2. Tab Resize - This tool allows users to split the tabs vertically, horizontally, or into quadrants.

3. Dualless - Split the tabs vertically or horizontally while being able to designate the proportion of the tabs to one another.
